This may be the most festive, but also the busiest time of year, and an easy excuse to neglect ourselves, as we are so busy rushing around shopping, merry-making, gift-wrapping, baking cookies, visiting loved ones, and prepping everything for a fabulous celebration.


Hey, I get it! If you’re not getting ready for your next holiday party, you’re trying to figure out what to buy for everyone on your list. While it may seem impossible to separate yourself from the holiday madness, it’s necessary to find ways to ease your stress in order to not only stay sane, but to keep your skin looking healthy and glowing too.

What you may not realize is that stress doesn’t just take a toll on how you feel, it affects your skin too, and can leave your complexion looking anything but bright.

Apart from stress, there are the endless parties filled with delicious, yet not so healthy, food, and of course, loads of bubbly! Take Some Time Out

It’s easy to say you are going to eat healthier until confronted with that gooey pecan pie at your next holiday social. We aren’t saying you shouldn't indulge, but the key is moderation.

Too much sugar over the holidays will not only leave you feeling sluggish and irritable, sugar actually sucks water out of the cells, as well as breaks down collagen; an important structural protein for keeping your skin taut and plump.

So to avoid the dry, dull look, be sure to drink lots of water and to load up on protein rich snacks to even out your blood sugar and keep you full. A great tip is to munch on some nuts before heading out the door, so you are less likely to keep reaching for the sugary snacks. Also be sure to drink water alongside every alcoholic beverage to avoid dehydration. Your skin and body will thank you the next day!
